Galaudet University 2019 Grad wastes no time after picking up her diploma
By October Nikoyla Sereda had completed her Graphic Design Fellowship at the Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington, D.C. In February she was named Producing Director for the Main Stage production of the National Theatre for the Deaf.
The Boston-born playwright, costume designer, and producer graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts and English. She wrote and directed her full-length play entitled Baggage for her Honors Capstone. In addition to the Liberace Scholarship Award for Outstanding Achievement in Music, she received the Bruce Hlibok Playwriting Award and the Diego Rivera Award for promoting LGBTQ stories on stage and LGBTQ awareness on campus.
The Liberace Foundation congratulates Nokoyla Sereda. We look forward to her work in the future.
