Renowned pianist Edvinas Minkstimas came to the attention of Liberace Foundation Chairman through the performer’s service as Artist-in-Residence of the Embassy Series Festival in Washington, DC.

A graduate of the Lithuania Academy of Music and Theater, the Paris Conservatory and finally receiving his Doctorate in Music from Julliard, Dr. Minkstimas adds service to the Liberace Foundation to his seats on the boards of the Mahler Festival of Vienna, the Leopold Auer String Competition, the Malaga Clasica of Spain, and many more.  He possesses an extraordinary familiarity with the body of work in showmanship, as well as the musical compositions created by Liberace.

Dr. Minkstimas was recently presented by the Consulate of Lithuania at an event of the World Affairs Council of Las Vegas.  Among other performances around the world, he is a scheduled guest solo artist with the Las Vegas Philharmonic in October of 2014.  Dr. Minkstimas is in discussions to lead committees on fundraising events, scholarship nomination and adjudicating talent competitions of the Foundation.
