Acquisition represents six-figure addition to Liberace Museum Collection

The nine famed costumes made for the film “Behind the Candelabra” were replicated by award-winning designer Ellen Mirojnick after she studied the originals at the Liberace Foundation vaults.  The movie costumes have now joined their inspirational counterparts under lock and key of the Liberace Foundation in Las Vegas.

“Jerry Weintraub arranged for our whole team to visit the Liberace Foundation, where they archive every single costume — they’re in extraordinary condition — [and] cars, jewelry, the works.” Said Mirojnick.

The Liberace Foundation plans to exhibit the costumes at various venues where the Liberace Museum Collection tours.
