Tough Ticket to Get: Southern Nevada’s Clark County Library District astounds with free concert of sought-after piano stars Philip Fortenberry and Spencer Baker
Those fortunate enough to have seen either of these performers likely paid top dollar to do so.
“Liberace Lives” features Philip “Hands of Liberace” Fortenberry, the pianist body double for Michael Douglas in HBO’s 2013 hit film Behind the Candelabra. Philip is the star of Cocktail Cabaret at Caesar’s Palace.
Sharing the stage with Mr. Fortenberry is Spencer Baker, one of the 2700+ students who benefited from Liberace Foundation scholarships and also won the Liberace Piano Competitions before he served as Artistic Director of the Liberace Museum.
These artists are frequent performers around the country and on the Las Vegas Strip, but somehow Windmill Library Theater Director Tony Allison managed to book both on the same stage to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Liberace, for one night only. Don’t miss it!
You may even see a few familiar Liberace artifacts!
This event is free – arrive early, seating is limited.
