Top amateur and professional piano players from across the U.S. will compete and provide top-notch entertainment in the first round of live piano competitions. The performances are set in two categories: Classical Performance and Showmanship. Classical competitors will be judged on technique and repertoire. The Showmanship category continues the 14-year tradition of the Liberace Play-a-Like Competition previously held in the spring of each year. Liberace Piano Competition Finals are set for Sunday, Sept. 16 at The Community
Lutheran Church. For information on the piano competition, or to become a competitor, you may contact Shirley Swift at 798-5595 ext. 16.

It was only a matter of time before the “Millennial” generation and the hip-hop community noticed Liberace, the original King of Bling ®. It makes sense- following Liberace’s lead, Diddy, Usher and the like favor and flaunt the excesses of fur, diamonds and gold. Teaming up with the Liberace Foundation, Kashi Kicks has created a new masterpiece to their AK Collection called "The Liberace ®" – the first-ever sneaker with a removable jeweled cape.

Visit the Liberace Café for a great lunch and a chance to see one of the popular Liberace videos sold in our Museum Store. Currently showing is “The Wonderful World of Liberace”. A favorite with our guests, the video gives an inside glimpse of the showman’s life.
The $10 lunch includes a sandwich, chips, beverage and dessert. If you are not that hungry, have a snack and beverage for $5 or just view the movie for $4.
"Lunch With Liberace" is usually offered on Thursday and Friday but please call 702-798-5595 x 14 or 15 to see if it is available. Remember, you do not have to tour the Museum to stop by and have lunch in the Café or shop in our Museum Store.
